John Paul Hall, D. O., FACS is a native of Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He graduated from Central High School in 1969.
His father, Frank Hall, MD, FACS was a surgeon here. He graduated from the University of Missouri Columbia in 1974 and studied pharmacology in graduate school. He attended medical school at Kansas City University of Medicine and Bioscience and graduated in 1979. He completed his Urology Residency at Kansas University Medical Center in 1984. He began practice in Cape Girardeau that same year with Dr. J. W. Terry and Dr. J. Russell Felker.
He was certified by the American Board of Urology in 1986 and was accepted as a fellow into the American College of Surgeons later that same year. Dr. Hall is a member of the Missouri State Medical Association. He has served in the past as Chief of Urology at Southeast Missouri Hospital and St. Francis Medical Center, Chairman of the Department of Surgery at St. Francis Medical Center, as well as holding membership on multiple committees at both hospitals, and as President of the Cape Girardeau County Medical Society. He is a member of the American Urological Association, South Central Section AUA, Flying Physicians Association – post national president, and Sigma Phi National Osteopathic Honor Fraternity. He was Director of Medical Education at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine from 1996-2014. Dr. Hall has also been the author of multiple medical papers and presentations.
He is the father of two children, John Paul Hall II and Juliann Kane Sechrest, as well as six grandchildren. Dr. Hall and his wife, Jerre, are active in church and community organizations. His hobbies include flying, reading and travel.
Enjoys flying/piloting (his parents and wife also pilot). Previous president of the Flying Physicians Association. Was Jackson Football team doctor for 19 years. Coached Dr. Outman in church league basketball and Dr. Ogles in youth soccer.
