James E Outman, DO, FACS

James E. Outman, D. O. FACS is a native of Cape Girardeau. He graduated from Southwest Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri, and received his D. O. degree from the University Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, Missouri, in 1997. He completed his rotating Internship at the University of Ohio Grandview Hospital and Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio in 1998.  He completed his General Surgery Internship at University of Kansas in 1999, and his Urology residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center in 2003, and joined Cape Girardeau Urology Associates that same year.

He was certified by the American Board of Urology in 2005 and was accepted as a fellow of the American College of Surgeons in 2006.  He is currently head of the surgery department at St. Francis Medical Center. He is a member of the American Urological Association, the Missouri State Medical Association, the American Medical Association, and the Cape County Medical Association.

As a father of four children, he and his wife, Michelle, are active in community affairs.
