Gregg Hallman, MD, FACS

Gregg S. Hallman, MD, FACS  is a native of Sweetwater, Texas. He attended Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas. Following three years of undergraduate training, his medical school education was completed with highest honors in 1996 at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston, Texas. During his junior year at UTMB, he was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He attended the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas, where he received post-graduate training in general surgery (1996-1998) and specialty training in urology (1998-2001). He joined Cape Girardeau Urology Associates in July, 2001.

Dr. Hallman has a keen interest in minimally invasive treatment of prostate and kidney cancer, as well as female pelvic prolapse and incontinence. He is an expert in the the da Vinci Robotic Laparoscopic Surgical System, introducing this technology to the southeast Missouri region in February, 2006. Other clinical interests include evaluation and treatment of stone disease and BPH.

Dr. Hallman has served as Chief of Surgery and Chief of Staff at Southeast Missouri Hospital. He is certified by the American Board of Urology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.   Dr. Hallman is a member of the American Urologic Association, Missouri State Medical Association, Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, and Southeast Missouri Medical Society.

Enjoys putting the rubber to the road and crushing the competition on his road bike.
